Canon PIXMA MP988 Driver Download
Canon PIXMA MP988 Driver Download– I’ve long believed in the old adage ‘Jack of all trades, master of none’. It must have happened in the past when it comes to getting high quality photos and a good scan of the all-in-one. However, things are changing rapidly in the digital world. Several years ago I would not have thought it possible to get lab print quality of inkjet sub $ 100, but it is possible with many new printers on the market today.
All-in-one, or AIO devices combine printing with a scanner, and fax often. Canon Pixma MP980 is an example of this – scanning and printing. I want to see how the latest model to do with the photo printing and scanning – two requirements that every photographer needs (OK, the scan if you have prints or transparencies to convert). How they will be compared to a standalone printer and scanner? Not everyone is blessed with space or budget for a dedicated machine, so the choice of AIO is an interesting one to consider.
Pixma MP980 from Canon is the latest in the series MP, and the first with a new gray ink to increase the production of black and white and shadow detail. Ink is the same Chromalife 100 found in their specific Pixma printers such as the Pro9000. This is a six-ink printer with cyan, magenta, yellow, black, gray, and black pigments. Pigments are only used in the document text mode. 802.11b & g wireless are supported, and you can add an optional Bluetooth unit. Like most printers in this class, print directly from memory cards or via PictBridge is also supported, and the printer has a number of features built-in image adjustment.
You can print directly from a memory card or use the card slot as a card reader for your computer. Direct printing is a popular printing feature casual – pop the memory card into the slot and print JPEG photos with onboard image adjustments, such as red eye correction, and color enhancement. If you want to print from a mobile phone or similar device, Canon has an optional Bluetooth adapter for this MP980.
